**Q: Can i use this to wire my heating thermostat**
A: You must not use this thin wire for your heating thermostat. It is likely to overheat and catch fire.

**Q: Would this be able to be used for custom USB cables ?**
A: I don't think that this cable would be suitable for two reasons. The cable cores themselves would be difficult to connect to a USB connector and the cable itself is not screened or shielded making it prone to picking up interference.

**Q: What is the thickness of this cable in mm, please.**
A: About 4mm

**Q: Would this work for 12 voltage led strips?**
A: While it would work it’s really designed for alarm systems.  You need to check the current draw and more importantly the protection on the system, for example if the leds take say 0.25amp max then it would be ok however if the led power supply can provide 5amp then should a fault occur then the cable would melt / fire with that level of current.
