Its high precision activator valve needs to move only 20 thousandths of an inch to activate your faucet. This means that when it is installed it is nearly impossible to detect with the cabinet door closed. To operate he Tapmaster simply press against the cabinet door with your knee or leg and set the faucet open to the desired flow and temperature. By releasing the door, the Tapmaster shuts off the water flow making this model ideal for situations where your faucet only needs to be activated for brief periods. The activator does not necessarily have to be a door. The possibilities are only limited by the hardware available and the imagination of the installer. Any surface or panel where a slight movement (approximately 1/32”) can be created and can be pressed by the knee, leg or hip has the potential to be a hands free activator. As an example, in the public washroom drop-in counter sinks, the Tapmaster actuator valve rests against a hinged panel with a towel or grab bar mounted on it. There seemed to be a worsening 2+second delay. I contacted Tapmaster through their website, and got no response. I waited a few weeks and was never contacted. I decided to write them an email explaining my issue. I was immediately contacted and they stated that they were slow to respond the first time, most likely due to the holidays. Anyway, they sent some parts very quickly to my home for me to repair / fix the valves. It took me a few hours to fix it, but got it back up and running to normal again. In case someone is wondering, tapmaster has a 5 year warranty on their products, in addition the replacement parts outside of warranty are as follows: Activation switch - $124, Valve rebuild kit x 2 - $40. Tapmaster is a top quality company from my experience. Their valves are very well built, their customer service is excellent, and warranty is 5 years.Wow, can't believe I have been using a kitchen sink without this! Easy to install. Will definitely save water and money. Keeps the sink handle clean and water off the counter around it. Solid construction looks as though it will last a very long time. Don't buy a new faucet with the motion crap on it, this is way better in every facet, plus, no batteries to change or sensors to go out. This faucet is more expensive to similar switches, but I would rather pay a little more for solid metal construction than plastic.Oh, to ensure the longevity of your switch, keep an eye on your household water pressure and adjust it accordingly. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Easy installation.
