I think it can be a good tool to get a 1st grader or 2nd grader to learn addition. For older kids who are quite comfortable with addition it can be quite boring. The instructions were also a little incomplete. For e.g. There is no mention of what to do with the logic slates although. The slates themselves were also difficult to use for my 6 year old.
