**Q: What unit can I purchase, without add ons, to get six zones? All other models from other companies offer at least six. Thanks,**
A: The Rain Bird ESP4ME3 will cover up to ten zones and doesn't require any additional equipment unless you want to add WiFi capability which is very nice and all functions and programming can be done from a smartphone. I am not knowledgeable about other brand controllers, only the Rain Bird. Hope this helps.

**Q: Can i get the manual (as a pdf file) for the esp-me3 4 statation controller ?**
A: You can download this from the manufacture's site.  Rainbird

**Q: In the manual it says it’s not compatible with hunter psr22 pump start relay. it’s only compatible with specific rain bird pump start relays...??**
A: We know they do work with other brands of pump start relays like the Hunter PSR22 however "officially" I can only say that the Rain Bird manual states otherwise.

**Q: Is this for the esp4me3??  i ordered it and you sent me esp-tm2**
A: Yes, this listing is for an ESP4ME3. If a ESP-TM2 timer was sent then Amazon themselves made a mistake as these are FBA (fulfilled by Amazon).

My 20 year-old Rainbird ESP controller started having some problems. I replaced it with the ESP ME3 controller. The install is straightforward. A screwdriver was the only tool I needed. It was interesting that the placement of the screw holes in the original Rainbird ESP matched exactly to the locations in this new controller, and this is appreciated. I decided not to use the WiFi module at this time. The interface looked different, but it seems to function and program very much like the original system. In my opinion, this unit is a very solid replacement for the older ESP control module. This unit is very compatible with the original install including mounting, connecting existing field wiring, and programming the water schedule. I pulled the 1-4 zone valve interface out of the old ESP module and put it on a shelf to have if needed later. I reused the original 3 zone module (5,6,&7) that was in the original install. I have room for 2 additional expansion modules. I tested all zones manually and entered the watering program. At this point I would buy this unit again.
