Not so long ago, you had to use a machete if you wanted a sip of pure coconut water. We’ve taken the machete out of the equation, which is good, because those things are dangerous. Now all that’s left is mother nature’s most hydrating, refreshing, vitamin- and mineral-rich nectar. That means we pick, crack, and pack fresh young coconuts directly at the source. After the coconuts are cleaned, the delicate water inside is flash pasteurized (and occasionally mixed with all-natural fruit puree) then poured into a shelf-stable Tetra Pak. The entire process from tree to Pak doesn't exceed 72 hours. We hear the end result is a lot like sticking a straw in a coconut.

**Q: why no picture of ingredients? some people actually read those.**
A: The ingredients are there

**Q: Are there any additives or is this pure coconut water**
A: There is sugar added to this Coconut water.  I ordered 2 cases because it says no sugar was added.  Only to find that there is 1 gram of sugar added.    There is 13 grams total sugar in this product, WITH 12 GRAMS being natural sugars.  

I have tried 4 kinds of coconut water from Amazon.  The best tasting one with 0 sugar added is the IBERIA COCONUT WATER.  I AM ORDERING MORE TODAY.

**Q: I heard these have bpa plastic liner inside the box, is that true?**
A: It appears to have something but can’t say for sure.

**Q: Vita Coco - why do you add sugar since coconut water is already sweet?**
A: I don't know where you see sugar in the ingredients list. I just finished a 16.9 oz carton and the list says, "coconut water, pineapple puree, coconut puree, and vitamin C (ascorbic acid)."

We keep these Vita Coco coconut waters on hand because they’re easy to grab when we want something more refreshing than plain water. I especially like them cold after being outside or doing something active. The flavor is light and not overly sweet, and the individual cartons are really convenient to toss in a cooler, bag, or take on the go. They’re also a nice option when I want a little extra hydration without reaching for a sugary sports drink. We’ve bought these more than once and I can definitely see us continuing to keep them stocked.
