Bedec BEDE2AV0003/46 is a 5-litre water-based satin black barn paint designed for both interior and exterior use. It features a low-odour, quick-drying acrylic formula that is self-priming and suitable for multiple surfaces including metal and wood. Offering excellent coverage (20-24 sq.m/litre) and durable microporous protection, it resists flaking and blistering while maintaining vibrant colour retention. Ideal for barns, sheds, gates, and more, this paint enables fast, professional-grade results with minimal prep.

## Description

Bedec barn paint is ideally suited to the protection of exterior buildings such as barns, stables, outbuildings, sheds, silos, windmills, and factory units (corrugated and metal box cladding).it is highly recommended to coat, fencing, gates, farm equipment, tanks, drainpipes, doors, windows and many other areas around gardens, farms and factories. It can be applied to previously painted surfaces, even those coated with weathered bitumen, tar varnish or creosote. This acrylic system is a tough durable microporous protective coating with excellent colour retention. It will flex with the substrate exhibiting reduced flaking and blistering. Two or three coats can be applied quickly within one day, especially during the summer months. The advantage over conventional systems is that the coats applied are all barn paint, therefore no stress is built up within the coating layers. No need to etch or pre prime galvanised steel. Prime bare steel or rusty surfaces with an anti-corrosive metal Primer.

**Q: Can this be applied with an Airless Srayer**
A: Don’t know, only used a good brush to apply.

**Q: I have just bought a garden shed. Does it need wood preservative applying or is the barn paint sufficient protection?**
A: It can be painted directly onto the shed, but if the wood is pressure treated leave it for six months to allow better penetration.Similarly, planed wood may need to be slightly abraded.

I've been using the Bedec Barn paint for years now and i cannot recommend this enough. The paint can either be applied with a brush or roller and the streaks disappear leaving the surface smooth. The quality of this paint is far above most paints on the market, hence the price. I would not use any other paint!
