He needed a pair for a horse camp he was participating in and he wasn’t liking any boots he tried on. These were the only ones he was ok with, though he is still getting used to having a slight heal. I conditioned them right away and was glad I did, as the leather doesn’t seem finished and it helped protect the boot. Not necessary, but with a 5 year old who immediately went to the wet mud to play, I think it was a good decision to condition them first.These do run a bun a bit big. My son wear 12.5 in regular shoes and the 12.5 size boots I bought from this brand were too big. I would buy .5 size down if you need them to fit correctly now. Leather stretches and gives so I think I these will easily fit him for the season. I didn’t want to size up be sure loose boots aren’t comfortable to me.
