**Q: What is the numeric strength rating of these magnets?**
A: These are Extremely Strong magnets. I put a medium thickness leather between a piece of material and I still had a solid hold.

**Q: Will the adhesive adhere to fabric?**
A: As for the sticky backing...probably, but you may only use it a few times. Wouldn't recommend it. But as the magnetic fastener, of course it will work on fabric....that's the basic purpose of the magnet.

**Q: Would these magnets hold 2 layers of a shawl together (for example, thick cotton or wool)?  Or just something lightweight like a silk scarf?  Thanks**
A: The shawl on the left (more a cotton type) will hold the magnets.  One on the right (more wool type) will hold but not securely.

**Q: 24 magnets or 12 magnets and 12 metal disks?**
A: There are 24 magnets and 24 metal disks. They also have sticky backs on the magnetic portion.
