So your face brightens but so do the spots. Any way not a bad product. Its good for the dark area around the mouth. All menopause stuff. Did not have any break outs but I only use a little at a time. A little goes a long way. No allergic reaction that's good. You don't want to slather this on because then you may have a problem because it is strong. I would buy again. Its my own fault for overlooking the vitamin C. Some people are sensitive to it and I am one of them. It acts like a skin peel on me. So ladies if you use it the first day and its fine and then the second day your skin burns. You are very likely sensitive to the vitamin C and can use the product maybe twice a week.
