**Q: how far does it swing out?**
A: On a jeep, it allows me to swing out my tailgate fully. I’m pretty sure it would allow any vehicle to open their access door fully as well, even those that open vertically.

**Q: how far does it reach out from the hitch**
A: Roughly 12"...Check with Yakima for exact distance.

**Q: could I use this in conjunction with a hitch mounted cargo carrier?**
A: Yes you can, it has a 2” hitch on the outer side where you stack any normal hitch mounted device.

**Q: What is the distance this sticks out to the passenger side from the reciever? It says 30" but is that the overall length? My exhaust pipe is 28" over.**
A: I guess I don’t understand the question... On the back of my PU, it clears everything even with bikes on a Hollywood rack. It works for us.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does NOT fit a Promaster cargo van

This is a very nice rack. Lightweight (relative) sturdy and looks good. Unfortunately it is not designed for a cargo van. Once you install your bike rack or accessory, you won't be able to open the door. In our case, the 1Up bike rack prevented the door from opening at all when the bikes were not on. With the bikes on, we couldn't open it up all the way as a tire extended slightly beyond the rack and hit the edge of the van before 90 degrees. Very bummed and I DO recommend this Swing Away as long as you know it is NOT reversible like almost every other competitor and it is for standard cars/trucks/small vans.
