Review: Easy and economical to grow - When I first started buying wheatgrass for my pet 10 years ago—weekly at $3/pot—I remember calling the grower who was local and asking how much it was to buy seeds. He told me it was more economical to buy from the store and I didn’t question it. I’ve since moved and the one store near me that carried it closed last month. Turns out that first guy fibbed and it’s waaaaay more economical to grow your own, not to mention quick and easy. I followed the directions on the package and had sprouted seeds in less than 48 hours. I then moved the pot under a grow light and had 3” tall grass within 3 days. At $10 for this bag of seeds, I’m going to get a lot more than 3.334 pots (I just reuse the 3”x3” pots from the ones I bought at the store). Lesson learned. My bag arrived on Aug 18. It’s Aug 26 as I’m writing this review and I already have a plant for my pet. These are good, quality seeds.
Review: Fast-growing, healthy grass - Only two of my cats really like this grass, but that's okay. One of them can't go outside because he gets too much anxiety to be harness trained, so it's good for him to get some. The other is so happy to have it he chowed down day after day. The instructions were clear. I used the Cat Lady's dirt pucks I read someone else here recommend (6 pucks became a large tub full, and I still have 6 and lots of grass seed left after this first growth). It sprouted shockingly fast in the cabinet! I covered it with a sheet of tin foil (as I was out of plastic wrap), which was easy to let up and let breathe, and kept the humidity in. It was a great value for the money, and it's been quite durable, surviving lots of munching, so I'm impressed with that. It appears a little pale in the pictures because it had yet to get sunlight, lol. It greened up nicely from the sunlight in the one bathroom window we could keep the cats out of to let it finish growing. Highly recommend.
