Review: 2 replacements for each of the 36 colors!!! - It is great to have refills (2 of each of the 36 colors in their own numbered tubes), so the Kaco KALOR mechanical pencils will last beyond the leads they come with. The leads are high quality, with rich pigment. They are packaged to avoid breakage, in the pencils and the refills. I have not had a single lead break yet, and I use firm pressure about half the time. Not a single lead has broken. The leads are what I would call a medium soft, easy to use. I love how the spare leads are protected from breakage, and extremely easy to insert into the pencil when the original lead has been used up. Pull off the colored cap, insert the lead in the sleeve, slide it down, put the cap back on, and click until the lead appears, sharpen as necessary with the sharpeners (2) provided with the original mechanical pencils. Functionality doesn't get any easier :)

It is great to have refills (2 of each of the 36 colors in their own numbered tubes), so the Kaco KALOR mechanical pencils will last beyond the leads they come with. The leads are high quality, with rich pigment. They are packaged to avoid breakage, in the pencils and the refills. I ordered the 36 color set of Kaco KALOR Mechanical pencils, and I was happy to see there were refills available. Each "tube" has 2 leads, so plenty of refills. It is easy to take out the lead...just peel back the label and pull off the top. I'm looking forward to hours of coloring.
