## Description

Cavallo Sport Boot Pastern Wrap Easy to wrap around the pastern and attaches to the boot. Sold in pairs. Instructions: 1. Velcro the Cavallo wrap around the hoof, keeping it low to the ground around the bottom of the bulb and drawing the elastic diagonally upward from back to front. 2. Place the boot on the hoof, toe first, ensuring that the wrap lies flat. Velcro the red tab from the pastern wrap onto the red Velcro on the tongue of the boot. 3. Carry on your boot fastening procedure as normal. Remember that there is a break-in period required to soften the leather at the bulbs and around the collar of your horse's new boots. Like your own riding boots, it is recommended that time is taken to gradually break-in your boots. The first day the boots should be worn for 20-30 minutes, during turn-out or riding. The next day, you can increase the time and so on. Horse's hoofs, skin thickness, bulb sensitivity and conditioning can cary, so please monitor the wear and increase time in the boots as appropriate. You can speed up the break-in process by using a leather softener of your choice and/or riding through water. Sizing: Small fits boots size 0-2 Med fits boots size 3-4 Large fits boots 5-6

## Features

## Questions & Answers

**Q: My horse got a fairly serious wire cut on his heel bulb/pastern. Would this help protect the area temporarily once it's healed?**
A: I tired to do the same thing and unfortunately, it just doesn’t stay put unless used with the cavallo hoof boot (different product) and you’d have to pull horses shoe to use that. I found the gel form fitting bell boots to work the best (they look like the shape of horses foot)

**Q: Do thsese do good on trails**
A: I have used them with my Cavallo boots. If you put them on right, they stay put (watch the youtube video). But even when I have followed instructions, they slide sometimes. I finally ended up switching my one horse who rubbed constantly to the easy boot back country and have had no issues. It's much easier to put on than having to fuss with pastern wraps and boots.

**Q: Will this fit a miniture pony**
A: I believe it would be to large.

**Q: Does this have to be used with a boot?? Or can it be for used by itself for added protection**
A: It can be used by itself, that is how we use them.
