Review: Worked great! - My AC went out and my husband bought this to fix it. We had used a friends before but figured it was time to own one for ourselves. We are happy that it comes with a storage box where everything has its own spot inside. It makes it easy for storing away in the garage or in tool boxes. I personally like that the box is blue instead of black or red like most other specialized tool storage boxes so it makes it easy to spot when trying to find it or explain it to someone else that may be looking for it for you. The price was good and the quality seems as good as the auto part store ones. My husband thinks the gauges read accurately with no issues because my AC works again and haven’t had issues yet. Definitely recommend any handyman or handywoman buy this item because you never know when you’ll need it! You definitely save money fixing the AC yourself instead of hiring someone to do it!

Not that all backyard mechanics should be tinkering with auto AC but if your a bit more advanced like myself and study up a bit, these can help check your AC system. I still recommend professional service for the AC system as people have been severely hurt accidentally tapping into the high pressure line blowing up those small cans. I only use it to check the system pressures to jint what might be an issue.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Why doesn’t the can tap fit the R-134a sealing can?**
A: I used with zero r134a can not self sealing. Worked perfect. I looked up self sealing can and they use a 1/2 connecting instead of 1/4. This is 1/4 connect to piercing tool. I'm not sure if this piercing part will work with self sealing can by adding an adapter as it is not real long. They do make a piercing fitting for the self sealing can that will fit to the yellow hose. Then gauges will work OK. Guess need to send orion motor tech a email to say need an another adapter to order to use on self sealing cans. This is made to use in normal automotive air and home ac fittings. Fitting I s fairly cheap.

I never used a gauge set like this before buying this. I’ll say it seems to work well. Everything went together good with no leaks or problems. Comes in a nice case to store it all when not in use. My only complaint is it comes with the piercing can tap. All the cans of refrigerant you buy in the store are self sealing so you have to buy it separately. Had I not read others reviews of this set and other brands I would not have known this. The tap isn’t expensive it’s just the point. Overall I’m happy with the set. I’ve used it on 4 cars so far and it’s did what it needs to each time. For the price you can’t go wrong.
