It is very thin and light, and the black frame is not really noticeable at all. The page turn areas on the edge of the Kindle are very accessible and the frame does not interfere with that function at all. The magnet on the right is very strong and keeps the cover tightly closed for resting. The power switch is accessible through a hole in the back and that works fine--however I have not needed to turn mine off since receiving. The cover does auto-wake the Kindle as it is supposed to do. I ordered the turquoise color and it is really unique and beautiful--more of a deep sea glass color to my eye. The outside cover is a very smooth and looks as if it will last a long time.
