Although peels performed by a licensed Dermatologist are of higher grade, this is a great at home and/or alternative product that delivers results. Things to consider: Consider having a professional medical grade peel first. Wait the time needed to heal. Follow up with this salicylic acid by Pure at home and as prescribed. This product will then better be able to penetrate the skins layers, significantly prolonging and maintaining the results. You may feel a burning, tingling sensation. Your face may turn red. To help mitigate these effects, leave on skin for 30 seconds and only use it a couple of times a week. Once your skin becomes acclimated, you are able to leave it on longer and use it more often. You may experience flaking. This is more true for people who already have dry skin. If you have problematic skin (acne), your skin may purge. It’s important to know that when using any AHA/BHA’s, purging of the skin is a completely normal process. To yield the best results, consistency is key. It may get worse before it gets better.
