I figured that I'd try a cheap lamp and keep the original as my spare.It arrived well enough packaged for shock protection.I have only run this on Eco mode and they both use about 168-170w. I measured the brightness using a lux meter on my Samsung phone and they were very similar, maybe a slight edge to the original Epson bulb but no more than five percent.There was the expected plastic smell but only for an hour.I will also measure the heat output, to touch the projector case near the exhaust seemes warmer but that's very subjective. I will check with a laser thermometer when I find it.I'll give it five stars for now, it seems as good as the original lamp and I paid just $37 or so. I don't plan to use full brightness as eco level is plenty for my space. Will it last?
