Review: Real handy and well made - Summary; Nice and sturdy well made little campfire grill, i used it all day and it never sagged once or got out of shape in my ownership once, I am very impressed at this pricepoint. Construction: It is made out of mild steel with a surface coating which gives it a wroght iron like feel (It isnt wrought iron), the workmanship is crude and the welds look questionable but it is sturdy and hasnt failed me and so for light duty like cooking I dont forsee a issue.
Review: Good product - Good for cooking outside. We use cast iron pot to cook on it.

**Q: Could this be safely used for direct grilling? Putting food straight on to the grill (I know it says not intended for..)**
A: The text explicitly says: "Not designed for direct-contact grilling".  It's intended to sit over a fire and support your cookware. 

I can't see why it wouldn't *work* for direct-contact grilling, but I assume they'd say the warranty is void if used that way.  I'd also imagine it's a bitch to clean if you get grease burned on.

A: it is about 12 inches high

A: 35" x 16" (89 x 41cm). You could cook on the grid, but the instructions said not to, possibly because of the paint used.  We purchased an add-on stainless steel grill rack to place on top, which works very well.

Good for cooking outside. We use cast iron pot to cook on it.

Due to the camp site long grass i could not use a ground fire so couldnt use it as a grill but did use it as a low table to cook off and put hot pots on. Its strong and no doubt will be a good grill but i found the folding legs can collapse easily and it could really benefit from a locking mechinism. Oh and its heavy. Ive only given 4 star because i haven't used it over an open fire yet.
