I didn't want to break the budget on something huge, and I wanted it to be a stylishly cute decoration for the living room. I also wanted it to have enough capacity to not be a hassle, and also to be acceptable for essential oils. I know I'm looking for the holy grail here, but this humidifier seemed to be the best balance of all these things. For the geeks out there, what's cool about this thing is that the power is not controlled through a digital interface, meaning that once it is in the "on" position, it can be controlled from the power source. I'm able to connect it to a generic smart plug for my Philips Hue system and control it on a schedule. This is not possible if you use a unit with an on/off button instead of this dial here. It outputs a LOT of mist. It is beautiful and I'm assuming effective. It looks like the mist cascades downward pretty heavily, but I have been using it on wooden surfaces with no noticeable moisture condensation. It only spits out wet droplets when I take the lid off to refill. Refilling is super simple. You don't need to remove the tank or drag the whole thing to a sink. I just fill up a Brita filter all the way and fill it up at night. I let it run continuously without turning it off for a week at a time without any issues. The only inconvenience is that even on the lowest setting it can barely last a full 24 hours, so it feels like I'm always filling it up. As long as it's part of your routine it's no big deal. This thing is actually excellent for essential oils. Just put a few drops in and it instantly fills the room with the smell. The scent disappears relatively quickly, but its comparable to other diffusers. I let it sit with a little water for a couple weeks without using it and it did accumulate nasty pink mold like you should expect. I took it to the sink, scrubbed it with a sponge and soap, and that stuff comes right off. I ran a vinegar solution through it to make sure the insides were more or less sanitary, and then it was right back to normal and stays clean. You should expect some maintenance. Don't buy a humidifier or diffuser if you're going to throw it away once you let it sit for a week all damp. Overall I love this thing. I think it looks great in my home Review: Simple, Elegant, Reliable - Bought 3 units till date - The raydrop Cool Mist Humidifier Diffuser has proven to be a lifesaver in my quest for an effective and reasonably priced humidifier for my kids. This product not only met but exceeded my expectations, prompting me to purchase three of them over the past two years. The consistent performance and reliability have made this a staple in our home. The 2.5L capacity of this humidifier is a standout feature, ensuring it lasts a full day without the need for a refill. This makes it an ideal solution for bedrooms, homes, and offices, providing a continuous stream of cool mist to maintain optimal humidity levels. The convenience of the top-fill design simplifies the refilling process, adding to the overall user-friendly experience. The adjustable mist output, controlled by a dial knob, provides customization based on specific needs. Whether it's for the kids' rooms or other living spaces, the flexibility in mist intensity ensures a comfortable and tailored environment. One of the remarkable aspects of this product is its longevity. The first unit I purchased over two years ago, and the subsequent ones, have all been working flawlessly without any issues to date. This speaks volumes about the durability and reliability of the raydrop Cool Mist Humidifier Diffuser. While I've come across a few user reviews mentioning issues with their units, I can confidently say that my experience has been exceptional. The flawless performance of all three units attests to the product's reliability and effectiveness. In conclusion, the raydrop Cool Mist Humidifier Diffuser has proven to be a reliable oasis in maintaining a comfortable and healthy environment in my home. Simply tap it gently for proper operation. **Q: Why can not fill water exceed the Max Line?** A: This humidifier uses ultrasonic waves to make the top of the water atomization, the too high water level will make the ultrasonic wave conduction efficiency decreases, which will lead to the humidifier having little or even no mist coming out. **Q: Why the humidifier seems to have little or no mist come out even on the high mist setting?** A: This humidifier converges ultrasonic waves through the mist tube and the small circle to make the water on top atomized. Therefore, make sure the mist tube is clicked into place, and the small circle is in the mist tube and floating on the water. **Q: What do I need to pay attention to when cleaning this humidifier?** A: Please avoid the water into the air outlet and air inlet while cleaning, or filling water, which will damage the electrical components. Dry all parts with a cloth. Make sure all parts are completely dry before reassembling or storing. **Q: Could I put the humidifier on the floor or a wooden table?** A: Best place to put a humidifier is 2-4 feet above the floor where the most airflow is. It is recommended to put a tray underneath the humidifier, if you place it on a non-waterproof surface, the locally high humidity levels may wet the surroundings. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple, elegant, and has the rare "analog" on/off power. *by S***S on July 31, 2021* I bought this unit while searching for Smart humidifiers I could use for my plants. Very quiet and only makes a faint whirring sound - on high settings it makes a slight bubbling sound. Easy to clean since the lid and inner tube are detachable. If you have hard tap water, some mineral deposits will develop on all inner parts but if you don't mind soaking the parts and filling the main body in a diluted vinegar solution like once a week it's alright. Also helps w/ sanitizing it as well. The only annoying thing about it is the power indicator light is way too bright. As someone who needs darkness to sleep, this made me look for a different model. I'm talking about even if you off the ambient light, the green power light makes it hard to sleep and has to be covered up at night. And then it still shines through the body of the humidifier anyway. But if it doesn't bother you, I would recommend this as an affordable option. ## Frequently Bought Together - raydrop Humidifiers for Bedroom, 3.0L Cool Mist Humidifiers for Large Room & Home, Top Fill Air Humidifier for Baby Nursery & Plants, Essential Oil Diffuser with Color Lights, Timer, Auto Shut-Off - Essential Oil Breathe Blend for Diffuser, Humidifier, Aromatherapy & Rub with Peppermint & Eucalyptus Oils | for Headache, Allergy & Congestion - Vicks VapoSteam Medicated Liquid with Camphor, a Cough Suppressant, Helps Relieve Coughing, for Use in Vicks Vaporizers and Humidifiers, FSA and HSA Eligible, 8 Oz --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/678077091-raydrop-humidifiers-for-bedroom-baby-3l-cool-mist-top-fill](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/678077091-raydrop-humidifiers-for-bedroom-baby-3l-cool-mist-top-fill) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
