Some reviews said the boots ran narrow and to get the wide size. Luckily for me the price for 7W was less than half the retail price. I have never purchased a wide sized shoe, my feet are small but not narrow so normal 7s are fine. Am I ever glad I got the wide, it fits really well. I believe the regular 7 would have been tight. The quality of the boot is very good, they are lightweight and comfortable. I can't speak to taking long hikes but 3 hours of yard work right out of the box, including some shoveling, was not an issue at all. The shoes really do "breathe" well, I was sweating up a storm but my feet were fine. I always replace insoles with WalkHeros after making sure I like new shoes, and I just ordered some for these boots.
