So helpful for my sleep, which is better than ever, less stressed. Feel great.Be careful with how much you take - don’t overdo it. I highly recommend a read of the NHS page on magnesium. Make sure you get enough calcium in your diet if you take magnesium! If you consume dairy then this should be easy.I’ve used pretty much every form of magnesium, on and off for several years. My area of study is also in the health sciences. Mg Glycinate/Bisglycinate are considered the ideal forms for an optimal balance of absorption (bioavailability), muscle relaxation and minimisation of side effects (specifically with bowel movements).If you are looking for anxiety reduction and already get enough magnesium in your diet, then this probably won’t be your silver bullet. Mg L-Threonate, AKA Magtein, is the only form of Mg that easily crosses the blood-brain-barrier (BBB). I wouldn’t expect magic from either, and L-threonate is quite pricey. Physically, glycinate is much more relaxing and sedating in my experience.That said, it is hard to get enough magnesium in your diet, it’s becoming rarer in plants, and RDAs (recommended daily intake) for micronutrients are on the lower side.It’s easy to know if you’re getting too much magnesium- you will have loose stools as your body attempts to expel it. There’s a sweet spot. Listen to your body.My overall thoughts:Excellent, well-designed and compact tub. Decent value for money. I’m only approx 10 days into using this, please do keep in mind that sample size of 1 is not something to go by. It tastes just like magnesium (bit gross if not diluted enough). 500ml water minimum to not taste with the 2.5 small scoop.I mix a small scoop in my water bottle 1-2h before bed. I am quite active and therefore sweat a lot. I would easily say that I feel better overall. My body seems to recover much quicker after workouts when I use this. I know already though that I’ve been deficient in magnesium recently, and that getting enough with my level of fluid loss would be a pain. So I am glad I reincorporated it.
