## Questions & Answers

**Q: How long is the cable on the 98H model**
A: 4,57 meter

**Q: New mic won't work on my soundcard, desk mixer or a wireless system. my system is the akg pt40pro, i tried an adaptor aswell. didn't work. faulty?**
A: Hello, have you used a preamp? Since it is a condenser microphone you will have to use a preamp to adapt. You may use Shure RPM626.
Regards,
Sascha from Shure

**Q: My soundcard and mixer both got 48v phantom power, is this sufficient Enough as a preamp for the mic to work?**
A: Hello, phantom power is not a preamp, it is the power for the preamp that you can engage. So you need phantom power to power the RPM626 preamp that you need to use PGA98H-TQG wired with your mixer or soundcard.
Regards,
Sascha from Shure

**Q: Can i connect this microphone into the desk with a mic lead (xlr) without using a wireless system. do i need a special connectorto do this.**
A: Hello, in order to use PGA98H-TQG wired into the desk you need a Shure preamp lie RPM627, RK100PK (+10 dB) or RPM400TQG.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ronseal?
*by N***N on 5 May 2022*

Does what it is meant to. Very sturdy (ok you need to be careful of the mic cable), clips on (to the instrument horn) and good frequency response. Worked very well on Sunday morning for our church sax player. Came with an XLR cable (cheap connectors - not Neutrik which I always buy) which was a bonus. For the money I think this was a good investment. BTW, the preamp is housed in a metal enclosure that I think would withstand being driven over!
