It's made of plastic not glass! It's got some weight to it as well. It's really cute though and plays a cluster of Christmas music. The glitter is nice and you can see reflection on your wall with a back lighting but I sat mine on a coffee table as shown in my video. It has a built in timer so it will shut off automatically if left on for 6hrs. The instructions are a little confusing about the timing but it says you can cut it back on after 18hrs. I will have to test this to see if they are simplifying it to this degree although it's written a bit tedious than how I wrote it here. It make a beautiful gift and it comes in a thin red gift box with 2 hard crate covers to protect it and a little instruction Christmas card. It also states that because of the packaging and delivery if the glitter sticks to the glass but to worry because it will loosen and float around after you run it for a couple hours. Bottom line, it's really cute and I hope it lasts a long time as I will be using these each day for the fall and winter season.
