The fit is perhaps just a little big, they work best with slightly thicker socks. I can't speak to quality just yet as I have only just received them but they appear to be top notch. The canvas is substantial and the soles have good depth of tread. The laces are also good and thick and there is enough lace so you don't struggle to tie a knot.UPDATE: I have had them around 8 months now and they are doing great. I wear them all the time and they are holding up very well. Perfect for daily use and the soles have very good support for your feet. If the wife drags me around the mall my feet are usually dead at the end of it but with these on, I dont have nearly as much fatigue. Keen to get another pair in a different colour for use in the great outdoors.
