Review: What fan? - If you can hear the fan you have bigger problems to worry about. While aged and wearing hearing aids I need to be within 3 feet of the enclosure to hear the fan. The only negative I have is there isn't really a "labeling" space since on the front there are two pinch points to release the drive and a cooling mesh. Installation was a breeze - durable construction, compatible with Linux mint. Supports USB 3.0 so expect decent speeds.

If you can hear the fan you have bigger problems to worry about. While aged and wearing hearing aids I need to be within 3 feet of the enclosure to hear the fan. The only negative I have is there isn't really a "labeling" space since on the front there are two pinch points to release the drive and a cooling mesh. Installation was a breeze - durable construction, compatible with Linux mint. Supports USB 3.0 so expect decent speeds.

My wife shoot pictures in raw format. That burns up A LOT of hard drive space fast. And, she is on a laptop. Soo, I got her this with two 8 terabite HDD and there is peace in the valley. Only complant is that the noise level is a tad more then the laptop fan. Love the hotswap ability.
