I am 6’ 4” and 240 lbs, it will easily hold me and more to sit on it. I won’t sit on it without covering it, just because I would never want to put even the slightest scratch on it, it is so beautiful. But I would say a 300 lb man could easily sit on top of it. **Q: How is this chest shipped? I’m worried about damages during shipping.** A: It is shipped via UPS or Fedex with 2" packing foam around all sides of the chest.
