Consequently, I have read nearly everything I can about food for angelfish fry. Everyone online pretty much has said that you need to feed the fry live baby brine shrimp. I really did not want to go through the hassle of raising baby brine shrimp, so I looked on Amazon for other products that might work. I found this New Life Spectrum Fry Starter and thought I’d give it a try - and I’m glad I did. I just put a tiny bit of this powder in a small plastic container with a lid and squeeze a couple of pipettes full of tank water onto it and then mix. You can make it as thick or as thin as you want. I then suck it up with the pipette and then squeeze it into the middle of the fry. It makes a cloud which dissipates fairly quickly. The frys’ mouths are so tiny that is makes it hard to tell if they’re eating at first, but if they are still alive after a couple of days, you’ll know they are eating. I can see them actively feeding now that they have grown a bit. This makes a great first food for the tiny fry of egg-laying fish.
