I was Stupidly disappointed at first as I hadn't realised how much smaller it was to what I'm used to. BUT this is a POSITIVE. It's Super Easy to clean from limescale as I live in a HardWater area. It's Saving me on water. So saving on unnecessary electricity AND has the option of a metal filter for my personal Herbal Tea Brews. Top Job. Never going to buy a larger kettle again. ### ⭐ Doesn't last. Good looking and performs well for a while, then sadly becomes a functional fail. *by on Reviewed in the United Kingdom 7 September 2026* We've had two of these - they are very competitively priced and look great when new. With the first one the switch failed after a few months - it would only boil if you kept the switch depressed until it did so. So we assumed it was just bad luck - a dodgy switch - and bought another. The second one, which we've now had for less than a year, has developed a leak between the glass part and the plastic top of the thing, meaning that every time you pour from it, some water is retained within the top of the kettle, and drips from the point where the glass meets the top part - water leaks both down the side of the kettle onto the base (where the electricity supply is constantly live) and from the bottom of the kettle onto wherever you are as you dispense the water. We are not about to make the same mistake a third time. I'd avoid these, however well priced they are and however attractive they look. We are buying a Bosch kettle now, at twice the price, but hopefully with a much more robust and functional design. ## Frequently Bought Together - Chefman Electric Kettle, 1.8L 3000W, Hot Water Boiler, Removable Lid for Easy Cleaning, Auto Shut Off, Boil-Dry Protection, Stainless Steel Filter, BPA Free, Borosilicate Glass Electric Tea Kettle - Chefman Toaster 2 Slice, 7 Shade Settings, 3 Cooking Modes, Removable Crumb Tray, Thick Bagel and Bread Toaster, Defrost, Cancel, Black --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/660998957-chefman-1-8l-glass-electric-kettle-3000w-anti-limescale-filter](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/660998957-chefman-1-8l-glass-electric-kettle-3000w-anti-limescale-filter) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-02*
