**Q: Can a backlight be turned on to see the display in the dark, like a movie theatre?**
A: Push the light button once and it stays on for two seconds to backlight the display, or keep the button depressed and and the light will stay on till released

**Q: What is the differnce between a dws5600e-1v and a dws5600-1 g-shock watch?  Or is they the  same watch?**
A: There are no models DWS5600E-1V or DWS5600-1. I assume that you might have been referring to DW5600E-1V (this watch) and the DW5600-1V which was an earlier model.

Both the DW5600-1V and DW5600E-1V are similar in design. The two watches use different modules, so there are a few functional differences. The most noticeable difference is the type of illumination. The module used in DW5600-1V  has an LED light, while DW5600E-1V has a module that features an electroluminescent backlight. DW5600-1V also had a dual time mode, which is not present in the DW5600E-1V.

**Q: Can the watch band be replaced ? My watch is about 30 years old and the  retainer on the band  wore out.**
A: Yes, it can. But the Casio band that fits it costs $17.00 on Amazon. If your watch is 30 years old, I suggest spending about twenty dollars more for a new one.

A: I bought my DW5600 exactly one year ago today, my watch has gained a touch above 50 seconds in the year past.
