Prior to ordering it I struggled to floss as often as recommended by a dentist but this has made the floss routine quick and easy. It removes food particles missed by brushing alone so efficiently even if you miss a day or two. The only thing that took some adjusting to was the intensity of the vibrations even at the lowest setting but after a few uses it was fine (but have yet to use past the lowest setting). The rubber gum bristles are a huge win as they help protect gums from rubbing against the hard plastic. The tongue scraper is durable enough but still comfortable and not too abrasive. Review: Game changer on nightly essential hygiene task! - My teeth feel smoother and cleaner than ever; Flossing is faster, more efficient and oh so thorough! It took me at first several nightly flossing sessions to get the feel, to first slide floss down between tightly spaced teeth easily (forcing can break floss) and then curve around each side of each tooth - as clumsy as learning the piano, at first. Now flossing is a breeze and a pleasure! The power of sonic vibration to break up plaque forming bacteria vs flossing by hand is the magic. And easy care: I add a drop of soap to the floss head & handle, rub it all around, rinse, wipe down, let air dry. Change floss head weekly. Battery lasts a couple months. So very glad I found this flosser. Game changer on a nightly and essential hygiene task. ## Features - BRUSHING ONLY DOES HALF THE JOB – Your toothbrush can’t reach the tight spaces between teeth or along the gumline. Slate Pro helps clean the 40% brushing misses with woven floss, soft gum brushes, and a built-in tongue scraper in one easy daily routine. - OUR MOST ADVANCED CLEAN – Slate Pro is the premium rechargeable electric flosser in the Slate lineup, with 3 settings—Gentle, Standard, and Deep Clean—and up to 14,000 sonic vibrations per minute. - DENTIST-INVENTED 3-IN-1 TECHNOLOGY – More than just a vibrating flosser. Slate Pro combines woven floss to grab plaque, Gum Sweeps to help massage and stimulate gums, and a triple-row tongue scraper to support fresher breath and a more complete whole-mouth clean. - RECHARGEABLE, WATER-RESISTANT, AND EASY TO USE – Designed for daily use with an intuitive front power button, USB-C magnetic charging cable, 3 months of battery life per charge, and water-resistant IPX-7 construction for use at the sink or in the shower. - BUILT-IN GUM BRUSHES – Designed to work like soft interdental brushes, Slate’s patented Gum Brushes help sweep away plaque and food particles between teeth and along the gumline while gently stimulating the gums. - NON-TOXIC WOVEN FLOSS – Slate floss heads use non-toxic woven floss with no Teflon, PFAS, or PTFE, giving you a cleaner alternative to many traditional floss options. - REUSABLE BY DESIGN – The reusable floss heads are designed to be rinsed and reused like a toothbrush, helping reduce waste compared to single-use floss picks. Pro uses the same refill heads as Slate Origin and Slate Mini, making it easy to stay stocked across your Slate routine. For best results, replace weekly. - BUILT FOR A MORE COMPLETE CLEAN – Unlike water flossers that rely on spray alone, or basic vibrating flossers that only floss, Slate Pro pairs direct-contact woven floss with soft gum brushes to help clean between teeth and along the gumline more effectively. - AWARD-WINNING ORAL CARE INNOVATION – Slate has been recognized by major beauty, wellness, and dental organizations, with honors including the Men’s Health Grooming Awards 2026, Women’s Health Beauty Awards 2026, Elle First Class Beauty Awards 2026, NewBeauty Awards 2025, and leading dental industry awards including the 2025 Dental Innovator Awards, 2025 Cellerant dentistry awards, Catapult’s dental industry Vote of Confidence, and the American Association of Orthodontists New Products Showcase Award. - INCLUDES EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO START – Each Slate Pro Electric Flosser includes 5 reusable floss heads and 1 USB-C magnetic charging cable so you can start flossing right out of the box. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0DDLX8LG2 | | Age Range (Description) | Adult | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Best Sellers Rank | #51,386 in Health & Household ( See Top 100 in Health & Household ) #115 in Power Dental Flossers | | Brand | SLATE | | Brand Name | SLATE | | Customer Reviews | 4.1 out of 5 stars 368 Reviews | | Dental Floss Type | Flosser | | Item Dimensions | 8.5 x 4.5 x 2 inches | | Item Form | String | | Item Highlight | Award-Winning, Woven Floss + Built-In Gum Brushes + Tongue Scraper, IPX7 Waterproof, 3 Modes, Water Flosser Alternative | | Manufacturer | Slate Flosser | | Manufacturer Part Number | SLT-001 | | Material | Non-Toxic Woven Floss, Silicone | | Material Type | Non-Toxic Woven Floss, Silicone | | Model Number | SLT-001 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Other Special Features of the Product | Lightweight, Multiple Pressure Settings, Rechargeable, Timer, Ultrasonic Technology | | Package Type Name | Box | | Power Source | Battery Powered | | Recommended Uses For Product | Daily Cleaning, Deep Cleaning | | Special Feature | Lightweight, Multiple Pressure Settings, Rechargeable, Timer, Ultrasonic Technology | | UPC | 860009072589 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | ## Product Details - **Brand:** SLATE - **Dental Floss Type:** Flosser - **Item Form:** String - **Material:** Non-Toxic Woven Floss, Silicone - **Special Feature:** Lightweight, Multiple Pressure Settings, Rechargeable, Timer, Ultrasonic Technology ## Images ![Slate Pro 3-in-1 Rechargeable Electric Flosser, Dentist Invented - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71XBfCB97qL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Which Slate Flosser should I choose?** A: Slate Mini - compact, colorful manual flosser great for on-the-go Slate Origin - battery-powered electric flosser with one speed & three color options Slate Pro - our electric flosser with rechargeable battery, and three speeds for optimal clean **Q: Does it work with braces, crowns, or veneers?** A: Yes! This is an excellent electronic flosser. It's well designed and works. I studied the videos on the proper technique, hold at the grip pad, and sometimes even place a little bit of gum oil on the floss and that helps to make the floss last a little longer. I clean the flosser daily. I have tight contacts so it doesn't last me a full week so far but I am working on learning how to use the flosser more effectively. I may need to purchase the thin floss heads listed on their webpage. I tried the competitor Flaus electronic flosser and returned it shortly after purchasing because it didn't work for me. The flaus floss heads snapped, had slack, and broke way too easily. The Slate Flosser is the superior product in my opinion and hands down is the better design. I appreciate the different floss head options and the rechargeable design. My only feedback is, I reached out with a question via email and didn't receive a response and I wish that they sold the tight contact floss heads on Amazon. They do sell their other floss heads on Amazon Prime. ## Frequently Bought Together - SLATE Electric Flosser | 3-in-1 Electric Flosser for Teeth w/ 3 Speeds - Dentist Invented | Eco Reusable Non-Toxic Floss, Tongue Scraper & Gum Stimulator | Ultrasonic Power Flossing for Adults & Kids - Fygg Fluoride Free Toothpaste, Nano Hydroxyapatite (Mild Mint) | Dentist Recommended - for Remineralizing, Whitening, & Sensitive Teeth - Premium Tooth Paste for Adults & Kids Oral Care (4oz) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/658255340-slate-pro-3-in-1-rechargeable-electric-flosser-dentist-invented](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/658255340-slate-pro-3-in-1-rechargeable-electric-flosser-dentist-invented) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
