There are two possibilities. 1) it has a triangular hanger inside, allowing you to simply hang it from a picture hook. So just lift it off to access the battery compartment. 2) if you're concerned about it being knocked off the wall, you'll notice the three brass bulges at 12, 5 and 7 o'clock. They're just decorative split pins. Remove them and you have three holes. Use something like mirror screws (with brass covers) and attach to the wall using rawlplugs or similar. One is probably enough, but three is an option. Obviously, then you'd need to unscrew three attachments every year or so. Personally, I'm using one rawlplug and mirror screw as secure enough against accidental knocks. **Q: Would this work in Southampton which has a double high tide** A: Sounds like you'd need to buy two.
