It can be pulled apart, but wheels are a bit harder and thinner than the softer string shown in the photo. The flavor is very mild, more so than even the Australian Black, but good. Licorice Root Pillows = These are the GOAT of the package. Most of the pillows have 3 flat, ripply, flavorful, soft, licorice squares that I like to pull apart and savor. While they don't actually melt in my mouth, they have a melt in the mouth, rich, but not potent, flavor.
