You can record over the messages. We had one of these a few years ago and it was wonderful. The last one I purchased the volume was not good. If you get one like our first phone it was great and the kids loved it. If they are all like the last one I purchased I would not buy it again. **Q: Can this hold up to some drool? What kind of batteries does it take?** A: This phone was a big disappointment I wouldn’t be buying it **Q: can i turn up the volume?** A: Hi Melanie, The volume is set to a level that is perfect for tiny ears (and also just right for grown-up ears). For now, there's no way to adjust it yourself on this toy. We hope this helps! - Team B. **Q: How do you lock it after you record a message so it doesn't get erased?** A: I do not think you can lock in a recorded message with this phone. ## Frequently Bought Together - B. toys – Hellophone- Lime- Pretend Play Toy Cell Phone – Kids Play Phone with Light Sounds & Songs – Toddler Toy Phone with Message Recorder- 10 months + - Infantino Flip and Peek Fun Phone: Bilingual with 3 English & 3 Spanish Phrases, Sounds Effects for Engagement, Peek a Boo Mirror Inside, 2 Colors, Ages 3 Months +, Teal, 1 Count (Pack of 1) - iPlay, iLearn Baby Cell Phone Toy 6-12 Month, Toddler Flip Smartphone Pretend Play Mirror Sound, Kids Music Learning Montessori Travel Game, Infant Fun Birthday Gift 12-18M, Children Boy Girl 1 2 3 Yr --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/65434063-hellophone](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/65434063-hellophone) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
