Review: Splits a stereo source into two mono sources and vice versa - Useful for a DSLR which only has one microphone input when you want to use two microphones at the same time, puts one microphone on the left track and one on the right, lead seems well made, no crackle when moving, also short enough to not get tangled up in! **Q: Can i combine 2 Rode Videomic Gos?**
A: I've tried to use it on a Canon 200d and Panasonic G7 to connect two microphones (Boya) and it worked by using each mic on a separate side (one was on the right, one on the left). Of course those mic, once the l/r tracks are separated, will appear as mono, but you can put them in stereo in premiere pro, or other editing software

**Q: Are the two mono outputs balanced? (aka, if i plug my headphones into the left output, will i hear through both ears or just through the left ear?)**
A: Just the left ear

**Q: Will this convert white and red to aux?**
A: Yes Male RCA plugs to stereo 3.5mm jack.

**Q: Can this be used from an iPad or mixer's headphone socket to split audio to L+R channels , or is it only from cameras?**
A: This is very simple device, and it will either split (or join) channels from any source, as long as it's electrically compatible.

Excellent breakout cables, I’m using them to split the inputs on my Korg NTS-2 oscilloscope and for that they work great!

I bought this specifically to use with EDJing allowing me to precue. It's lasted years and hasn't failed me yet. However I haven't been able to split the sound so that both outputs get stereo sound or even left and right mono, so when using it to DJ I use an Aux Cable into my PA rather that a stereo cable (you know the one with Red and White ends)
