That said, I'd strongly recommend using impact sockets as the regular sockets are pretty soft and will eventually get mangled. By the way, this is a very good impact gun when used appropriately. I found it doesn't have the same level of power as my other impact guns, but it's worth the money when working on brake calipers and other jobs that are too tight for the normal impact guns. **Q: How big of an air compress do I need to use this? I have a 5 gallon porter cable. Will that be enough power?** A: I have a two stage 100 gallon. It all depends on how much you use it.
