I was hit head on by a drunk driver & lost the ability to raise my right arm, move my neck well, & my upper back incurred damage so much that I could no longer lift or compete. For nearly 5 years, my right arm couldn't lift an empty cup of coffee. I had an in depth MRI done to my shoulders & it was determined that I could use my shoulders "as they'd allow" but not to be too optimistic. After years of PT, massage, chiropractic, & simply rest, nothing seemed to work. So I took off an entire year & did light stretching as my body would allow. Slowly, I started lifting weights again using the 5lb Cap dumbells. I started with curls because those kept my my shoulders stable & I could still build strength. I started with 6 reps x 3 sets. Had I known I'd respond well to my own training & would eventually buy more weights, I'd have opted for their 3-tier rack which holds about 1000lbs & 10 sets, which is nearly all the weight options. I was a member of a gym that offered Rogue weights.
