Review: Try Safe Catch! It is excellent salmon. - Safe catch is excellent salmon. It is bland as it contains no salt which is my preference. I use salt-free Mrs Dash various herbs and spices to improved the flavor. A little mayo takes away the dryness. If Safe Catch came with bones and skin, it would be healthier, less expensive and not so dry. It is a nice solid block of salmon. It is low in mercury which is a plus. I have used it for a long time and will continue to buy Safe Catch.

A: We pack all our canned products in tin free steel cans, with linings that are not made with BPA and do not have the intentional addition of BPA.  Additionally, we routinely test finished product using accredited 3rd party testing labs to ensure that BPA does not find its way into our products by uncontrollable means. To date we have not found any detectable levels of BPA in any of our products.

A: Safe Catch Wild Pink Salmon (Oncorhynchus gorbuscha) is caught in the Northeast Pacific, which is part of the Alaska salmon fishery.  The Alaska salmon fishery is a Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified fishery.

**Q: How much salt is typically in a serving or in a can?**
A: Salt is sodium chloride, about half sodium and half chloride. The can indicates there are 2.5 servings (2 oz) per can, and each serving has 50 mg of sodium. Thus, a can would have 125 mg of sodium.
