Review: Motor is too weak for the friction under the walking surface - Just set it up. At slower walking pace, the belt literally comes to a stop for moments as the motor struggles to overcome the friction. I tried servicing and oiling it as recommended, but no difference. I'm only 165 lbs. Can't imagine how it would be for someone significantly heavier. I haven't run with it yet but I assume will be less of a problem at higher speeds. I mostly like walking uphill for workouts, hence the problem. Otherwise, it's mostly good. But you know... when you can't really get a great walk in... on a thousand dollar treadmill... that's worth mentioning.

Just set it up. At slower walking pace, the belt literally comes to a stop for moments as the motor struggles to overcome the friction. I tried servicing and oiling it as recommended, but no difference. I'm only 165 lbs. Can't imagine how it would be for someone significantly heavier. I haven't run with it yet but I assume will be less of a problem at higher speeds. I mostly like walking uphill for workouts, hence the problem. Otherwise, it's mostly good. But you know... when you can't really get a great walk in... on a thousand dollar treadmill... that's worth mentioning.
