Bought mainly for cordless car and house clean up but the small non-QR 20v batteries only last 5-7 minutes. Can it work longer on any battery?

I am re-answering this question. BUY THIS VACUUM CLEANER. I do NOT work for nor am I affiliated with DeWalt in ANY way (other than buying the product). If your battery only lasts 5 - 7 minutes then throw away your garbage battery. You need to use a REAL battery (3 mAh or greater).

Can i use the 18v XRP or or 18v li-on batteries with DEWALT DCV581H

This is the DCV581H.... 20V/CORD OPERATION ONLY. The old model was the DCV580 which did also work with the old 18v batteries. This one does not.

Air flow: 33.55 CFMHP peak: 1.85 (per an external website) I don't usually see HP rating for a battery powered vacuum
