The crystals are clear so no mess left in the bath. They dissolve very well. I have very dry, eczema prone skin; shop bought bath salts have left me scratching and red so I was sceptical about the claims made for Epsom salts. I do a lot of exercise and inevitably get injuries and muscle strains so when a persistent ankle problem was getting me down I was told to try these. I'm glad I took the advise of other reviewers and ordered a large box! I have only used them three times over the last 8 days but in generous quantities, about 1/3 of a bag in the bath. My skin was not dried out or itching afterwards and the eczema patch that had failed to clear up seemed to have been washed away. It did reoccur a few days later but after I'd been washing and cleaning etc. The effect on my muscles & aching back was more subtle. The second time, I used them mixed with shea butter as a body and face scrub. It was messy but my skin has been so smooth since, the excema redness went and I found I wasn't having to apply cream etc. I then realized my ankle was not causing me pain anymore. My sporty sons love them and I've passed a bag or two onto friends to try. I would think that with continued use over the next month or so I will hopefully enjoy the benefits more.
