I can get around this however, by placing something over the pad. I wear mine mainly for a dress sandal to church, etc., so I'm not on my feet for long periods of time. I would not recommend them for long walks. I decided to go back and order the ones listed as "navy." I should have paid closer attention to the picture but, most of the time, the colors in the pictures are not true. This one is. The sandal is not navy but more like a medium blue exactly like the picture shows. I really needed a true dark navy, but I like the fit and the way they look, so I'm going to keep them to wear with jeans or lighter blue pants. I gave them 4 stars because of the massaging pads in the heels that everyone else is complaining about.
