The steering did become unaligned but it was an easy repair with no parts needed. Plenty fast for a brushed motor. Excellent value for the price. The only upgrade I recommend is the 100w charger with the screen to show you all the battery info. Update: The diffs finally broke like others had said. My son was beating the hell out of it, but it should have lasted longer. The internals are mostly metal, with a small plastic gear- that's the weak point. I bought knock-offs here on desertcart for half the price of the upgraded ones sold by Arrma. The fix is easy, just wish they included the upgraded diffs with the car. Review: Best Bang for your $$$ - For the price, it doesn't get any better. For the size it has just enough power to be a perfect driveway/backyard basher. If you want more power, you can convert it to brushless for around $30-$50 and better shocks for around $40. The part support is going to be great because its name brand. Its perfect for kids and plenty of room to grow for more skilled drivers. I love it. The only thing that I would change right away is the shock oil, it is a little too soft. I would put about 40wt or 45wt shock oil in it. ## Features - High-Traction 4WD Drivetrain: Features a powerful four-wheel drive system that delivers superior traction and control across all terrain types - Complete Power Solution Included: Comes with a powerful Spektrum 2S LiPo battery and safe, easy-to-use Smart charger for convenient operation right out of the box - Enclosed Metal Gear Drivetrain: Built with durable metal gears in an enclosed drivetrain system for enhanced all-terrain toughness and longevity - Improved V2 Differentials: Equipped with upgraded V2 front and rear differentials for better performance and reliability during intense bashing sessions - User-Friendly Design Features: Easy clipless body attachment and high-quality hex hardware for quick maintenance and hassle-free customization - Waterproof Electronics: Features waterproof Spektrum SX110 metal gear steering servo and Spektrum SLT 2-in-1 25A ESC for reliable operation in wet conditions - Adjustable Speed Control: Spektrum 2.4GHz SLT2 transmitter includes speed limiting options at 50% or 75% to help beginners develop control skills safely ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0D8CQRPX3 | | Additional Features | Portable | | Age Range Description | Ages 14 + | | Battery Description | Lithium-Ion Polymer | | Best Sellers Rank | #79,568 in Toys & Games ( See Top 100 in Toys & Games ) #156 in Hobby RC Trucks | | Brand Name | ARRMA | | Color | Blue | | Customer Package Type | FFP | | Customer Reviews | 4.2 out of 5 stars 338 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 05052127048149 | | Included Components | (1) ARRMA MEGA 380 28T Brushed Motor, (1) ARRMA MOJAVE GROM Small Scale 4X4 Desert Truck RTR, (1) Spektrum 2.4GHz SLT2 Transmitter, (1) Spektrum SX110 Waterproof Metal-Geared Servo, (1) Spektrum Smart 7.4V 1400mAh 2S 30C Hard Case LiPo Battery w/IC2, (1) Spektrum S10 Smart G2 Mini 2S USB-C Charger, (1) Spektrum Waterproof SLT 2-in-1 25A ESC & Receiver, (4) AA Transmitter Batteries, (1) Hex wrench,… | | Item Dimensions | 13.31 x 6.77 x 4.72 inches | | Item Highlight | Smart Small Scale, Battery and Charger Included, ARA2104T2 | | Item Type Name | RC Truck | | Item Weight | 2.3 pounds | | Manufacturer | ARRMA | | Manufacturer Part Number | ARA2104T2 | | Manufacturer recommended age | 14 years and up | | Material Type | Metal, Plastic, Rubber | | Model Name | ARRMA RC Truck MOJAVE GROM 4x4 SMART Small Scale Desert Truck, RTR | | Model Number | ARA2104T2 | | Number of Batteries | 1 Lithium Polymer batteries required. I have owned many traxxas trucks and can honestly say this is so much more fun, I purchased for my 7 year old son but have a hard time not playing with it myself. It takes a beating and is built like a tank it will not break. I was shocked on just how fast it is, there’s just something about a smaller rc truck it’s just fun! It handles amazing the suspension is great right out of the box. And yes it is ready to run you don’t need to purchase anything else. So cool I had to buy another one we now have 2 to race each other. ## Frequently Bought Together - ARRMA RC Truck Mojave GROM 4x4 Smart Small Scale Desert Truck, RTR (with Battery and Charger Included) Blue/White ARA2104T2 - Spektrum SMART 1400mAh 2S 7.4V Smart G2 30C LiPo; IC2 Connector, SPMX142S30H2 - Spektrum Adapter, 6": IC3 Battery/IC2 Device, SPMXCA320, 1 Count (Pack of 1) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/641529700-mojave-grom-4x4-rc-desert-truck-rtr-blue-white](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/641529700-mojave-grom-4x4-rc-desert-truck-rtr-blue-white) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-09*
