Designed for staggered planting, these bulbs ensure an extended summer flowering period up to 3 feet tall, requiring moderate watering and minimal maintenance. Perfect for USDA zones 3 and above, they bring vibrant color and natural air purification to your outdoor garden. ## Description How to Plant Gladiolus Bulbs The Gladiolus bulbs (or corm) can be grown in rows, or bunches. They will tolerate a little crowding, but will grow bigger if spaced out. We recommend planting the bulbs 4-6 inches deep - secured deep in the ground, you are less likely to need a stake. Plant them about 6 inches apart. If you have bought quite a few, don't plant them all at once. Stagger their planting and you will get a better succession of flowers. Add mulch to help retain water, and to keep the weeds down. Gladioli need plenty of water to flower well. On well-drained poorer soil, extra watering will be required. Once planted, your gladiolus should grow well with little attention. ## Features - OAKWOOD FARMS PROVIDING YOU BEST QUALITY ALL GARDENING STUFF . - THANK YOU FOR ORDERING TO OUR STORE PLEASE VISIT AGAIN. - Light: Gladiolus grow and flower best in full sun. Gladiolus corms will flower in part shade, but the colors will not be as vivid as when planted in full sun, and the plant won't grow quite as well. - Soil: Gladiolus like well-drained, sandy loam soil. The corms will rot if the soil is too heavy and wet. If you have clay soil, grow in raised beds and loosen the soil to 12 inches deep before planting. - Planting: Plant gladiolus corms in spring 2 weeks before your last expected frost date. To enjoy flowers all summer, plant your Glads every 2 weeks until early July. This will stagger the plantings and flowering times. You can also extend the flower season by growing early, mid and late-season Gladiolus varieties. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Indoor/Outdoor Usage | Outdoor | | Brand | Oakwood Farms | | Material Feature | Organic | | Colour | Multicolour | | Special Feature | Air Purification, Extended Bloom Time | | Expected Blooming Period | Summer | | Sunlight Exposure | Full Sun | | Net Quantity | 5.00 count | | Product Care Instructions | well-drained | | USDA Hardiness Zone | 3 | | Expected Plant Height | 3 Feet | | Moisture Needs | Moderate Watering | | Number of Pieces | 5 | | Manufacturer | Oakwood Farms | | Country of Origin | India | | Item model number | RKA_GLD$16 | | Product Dimensions | 10 x 10 x 10 cm | | ASIN | B0C2HLV6HK | ## Product Details - **Indoor/Outdoor Usage:** Outdoor - **Brand:** Oakwood Farms - **Material Feature:** Organic - **Colour:** Multicolour - **Special Feature:** Air Purification, Extended Bloom Time - **Expected Blooming Period:** Summer - **Sunlight Exposure:** Full Sun - **Net Quantity:** 5.00 count - **Product Care Instructions:** well-drained - **USDA Hardiness Zone:** 3 ## Images ![Imported Gladiolus Double Color Flower Bulbs (Pack Of 5 Bulbs) White & Purple - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51UyEE+ZraL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/640161566-imported-gladiolus-double-color-flower-bulbs-pack-of-5-bulbs](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/640161566-imported-gladiolus-double-color-flower-bulbs-pack-of-5-bulbs) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-14*
