Rock Face claims to have a "matte" finish, and it actually delivers. Texture & Feel: The cream is quite thick coming out of the tube but absorbs into the skin almost instantly. Within about 60 seconds, my skin felt dry to the touch (in a good way) rather than sticky. It works well post-shave to calm down razor burn. The Scent: The smell is fresh and citrusy—definitely masculine, but not overpowering. It smells "clean" rather than like a heavy cologne. It fades after about 30 minutes, which I prefer as it doesn't clash if I want to wear actual aftershave. Value: You only need a pea-sized amount for your whole face, so this tube lasts a long time. Pros: Non-Greasy: True matte finish, no shine. Soothing: Helps with post-shave irritation. Scent: Pleasant and subtle. Cons: SPF: It contains SPF, which is great for protection, but be careful not to rub it too close to your eyes or it can sting a little later in the day.
