Being that this is a retinol cream, I use it at night. Combining daylight and retinol is not, to the best of my knowledge, recommended without a high SPF sunblock on top. A little goes a long way with this cream - you really don't need much and as such the 2 Ounce / 59 ml size will probably last me a couple months. It *is* somewhat expensive but has that 'premium' feel to it (the product that is - the packaging is plain and functional and to be honest more than adequate). At the end of the day, you get what you pay for and I don't feel the price is unreasonable - It's a decent size at a reasonable price for a higher end product. The fragrance (or complete lack of it) is a major plus - it has an aroma but not a fragrance as such. After it has been applied and absorbed by the skin, it does not smell of anything. Other similar products I have used have a fragrance or odour to them which I personally do not like. The formulation is reassuringly thick but at the same time easily absorbed by the skin and is actually very pleasant to use. I have used other retinol creams - some more expensive and some cheaper but this one is definitely one of the better ones and I am likely to purchase it again. Brickell as a brand is one I have only recently discovered but having read up a bit about them and their history, I'm glad they are still independently owned and if the quality of this product is anything to go by, I expect I'll be buying more of their products over the coming months and years.
