## Description

Product Description Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art Lens (Sony E) Featuring improved rendering performance in a shorter and lighter body, Sigma 's flagship Sony E-mount 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art Lens deploys an advanced optical design for gains in sharpness, resolution, and portability. High-Speed HLA Autofocus The redesigned HLA linear actuator delivers autofocus speeds over three times faster than before, ensuring precise tracking, rapid subject acquisition, and smooth transitions for both photography and video shooting. Advanced Optical Architecture Six FLD, two SLD, and five aspherical elements work together to reduce chromatic aberrations, improve edge-to-edge sharpness, and produce stunning clarity even in challenging lighting conditions. 6.7" Minimum Focusing Distance The improved 6.7-inch minimum focusing distance at 24mm lets you capture fine details, shoot in tight spaces, and create dramatic close-range perspectives with impressive sharpness. Compact, Lightweight & Professional Build This improved version is 7% smaller and 10% lighter, delivering exceptional portability without compromising durability. A weather-sealed structure ensures reliability across various environments and shooting conditions. Complete Professional Setup Every element in this kit is engineered to enhance your shooting experience. From the precision-built lens hood to the protective pouch and durable caps, each accessory ensures convenience, safety, and seamless performance for professionals and enthusiasts alike. Product Accessories Lens Hood (LH878-03) Lens Cap (Front & Rear) Instruction Manual For Landscape Creators The wide 24mm end pairs perfectly with scenic environments, delivering incredible detail, rich colors, and clarity even in backlit conditions—ideal for travel landscapes and nature photography. Perfect for Events Its fast autofocus and versatile zoom make it ideal for weddings and events, enabling photographers to capture genuine moments without missing a beat. Portrait-Ready Performance At 70mm with f/2.8 bokeh, this lens captures expressive portraits with superb background separation, natural skin tones, and tack-sharp focus for professional results. Video-Optimized Design With reduced focus breathing and fast, silent AF, it is built for filmmakers who demand smooth focus pulls, consistent exposure, and professional-quality motion footage. Your All-in-One Creative Partner Whether you're shooting portraits, landscapes, events, or video, the Sigma 24-70mm F2.8 DG DN II delivers unmatched versatility. Its advanced optics, lightweight construction, and professional-grade performance empower creators to achieve exceptional results anywhere, anytime. Sophisticated Optical Design Six "F" Low Dispersion (FLD), two Special Low Dispersion (SLD) elements, and five aspherical elements markedly reduce chromatic aberrations and color fringing throughout the zoom range for improved clarity and color accuracy. Also, increased control over sagittal coma flare yields high resolution across the entire frame. In addition to superior optical performance, the five aspherical elements contribute to the lens' compact build with their thin, highly polarized construction. The bright, f/2.8 aperture and rounded 11-blade diaphragm produce a large, beautiful bokeh effect. Super multilayer and nano porous coatings have been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions. The lens was also designed to suppress focus breathing as the angle of view changes across the zoom range, creating natural-looking focus pulls when recording video. Focus Faster, Focus Closer The introduction of a linear motor high-response linear actuator (HLA) to drive the autofocus yields focusing speeds more than three times faster than its predecessor. At the wide-angle end of the zoom range, the minimum focusing distance improves to 6.7" with a maximum magnification of 1:2.7 to suit working with close-up subjects or in tight spaces. Built Strong and Svelte Maintaining the same number of lens elements, the overall length has been shortened to 4.8" while the weight has been reduced to 1.6 lb. The aperture ring features both click and lock switches for improved handling during use. The robust internal structure features metal parts for the zoom extension, while the exterior boasts rubber seals in the mount to protect the lens from dust and moisture. Two integrated AF-L buttons can be programmed to adjust various shooting settings and the lens also features a dedicated AF/MF switch and a zoom lock switch to prevent the barrel from accidentally extended. Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art Specs

Review: Good Built quality, excllent images and fast auto focus - The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art is a professional-grade standard zoom designed for full-frame mirrorless systems like Sony E-mount and L-mount (Panasonic/Leica/Sigma). It’s the successor to Sigma’s original DG DN 24-70mm f/2.8 and brings notable upgrades in autofocus speed, handling, and overall optical performance — all while remaining significantly more affordable than many first-party zooms. This lens is consistently sharp across most of the zoom range. Centre sharpness is excellent wide open at f/2.8 and improves further when stopped down, with very good edge performance as well. The 11-blade diaphragm delivers pleasing, smooth bokeh with natural transitions, making this lens great for portraits and shallow depth-of-field work. The lens is compact for a 24-70mm f/2.8 but still feels solid and professional. At around 745 g, it’s lighter than many first-party alternatives, though still on the heavier side for some users. There’s no optical stabilization in the lens itself, so you have to rely on in-body stabilization if your camera supports it. Has solid build quality with weather-sealing and useful handling features. Has fast, quiet autofocus for both photos and video. Gives smooth bokeh and attractive rendering. The Sigma 24-70mm f/2.8 DG DN II Art is one of the best value standard zooms available for full-frame mirrorless cameras today for Sony E amount. It offers near-flagship-class image quality, impressive autofocus, and professional handling features at a price that undercuts many competitors.
Review: Probably the best in this zoom range and aperture - I had the mark-1 version of this lens whixh was pretty heavy. Upgraded to this the moment its launched. Significant weight reduction. Quality bokeh (i put on 70mm and move around the subject for maximising it.) Ultra sharp. Even when cropped in. I use along with sony a7rv. Super clear. Build quality is pretty much same as mark-1. Though i see this version is better in handling dust. Cons- why the zoom ring rotation of signa is in other direction. It annoys me after using any other lens for a while and suddenly switch to sigma for some close ups. Really irritating. So this lens only 4.95/5 😎
