On the the hand, there is also nothing listed in the ingredients that's specifically an animal sourced product. I use this in my salads and I prefer it's taste, texture, shelf-life, and convenience to actual bacon pieces. If you're a "health-nut" or a "holy-devout spiritualist", I'm not sure why you would be eating this anyway, but I prefer these to real bacon for my salads and this particular brand of bacon-bits is better than most others I have tried. **Q: I am confused.
