Also, for people with light-sensitive eyes, including post-cataract surgery patients, because: the special filter blocks horizontal light rays which are harmful to the human eye polarized lenses reduce the reflected glare from the water, snow or long, flat surfaces such as the bonnet of the car or the road surface polarized sunglasses improve comfort and visibility, and give more brightness and contrast of the image without optical distortions do not distort the natural colours 100% blocks all types of UV sun rays (UVA,UVB,UVC). How Do Polarized Lenses Work? Light reflected from surfaces such as a flat road or smooth water generally is horizontally polarized. This means that, instead of light being scattered in all directions in more usual ways, reflected light generally travels in a more horizontally oriented direction. This creates an annoying and sometimes dangerous intensity of light that we experience as glare. ## Features - Brand New with tags Matrix Driver Style Polarized sunglasses. - Lenses will block UVA & UVB rays, so your eyes will be 100% protected against UV rays - Sunglasses are made from high-quality polycarbonate/metal are resistant to temperature variations - Scratch resistant polarized lenses, Anti-Allergic coating, Designed for All weather conditions ( Polarized Filter Category 3 ) - A storage bag made of special fabric, suitable for cleaning lenses. ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B07CHTFYSF | | ASIN | B07CHTFYSF | | Age Range Description | Adult | | Arm Length | 135mm Millimetres | | Best Sellers Rank | 3,778,025 in Fashion ( See Top 100 in Fashion ) 14,219 in Men's Sunglasses | | Brand Name | Matrix Drive | | Colour | Black | | Date First Available | 11 April 2018 | | Department | Men's | | Frame Material Type | Metal | | Item Shape | Square | | Item model number | MT8172J | | Lens Coating Description | Anti-Reflective Coating | | Lens Color | Light Grey | | Lens Material Type | Plastic | | Lens Type | Polarized | | Lens Width | 65 Millimetres | | Manufacturer Part Number | MT8172J | | Model Number | MT8172J | | Number of Items | 1 | | Polarization Type | Polarized | | Size | M | | Sport Type | ['Fishing', 'Motorsport', 'Biking', 'Skiing', 'Golf', 'Running'] | | Ultraviolet Light Protection | True | | style-name | Classic | ## Images ![Matrix Collection Polarized Sunglasses for Driving, Fishing - Light Grey Lenses - No Glare - Metal frame - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31ipmIktccL.jpg) ![Matrix Collection Polarized Sunglasses for Driving, Fishing - Light Grey Lenses - No Glare - Metal frame - Image 2](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31XFnia0+wL.jpg) ![Matrix Collection Polarized Sunglasses for Driving, Fishing - Light Grey Lenses - No Glare - Metal frame - Image 3](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31Fz9sb6KFL.jpg) ![Matrix Collection Polarized Sunglasses for Driving, Fishing - Light Grey Lenses - No Glare - Metal frame - Image 4](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/31U5uSMbD+L.jpg) ![Matrix Collection Polarized Sunglasses for Driving, Fishing - Light Grey Lenses - No Glare - Metal frame - Image 5](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/41Qi3uj7zpL.jpg) --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/62781866-matrix-collection-polarized-sunglasses-for-driving-fishing-light-grey-lenses](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/62781866-matrix-collection-polarized-sunglasses-for-driving-fishing-light-grey-lenses) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-26*
