I have 4 cats and one of them is a very big boy. He would always hang out of the regular litter boxes with the hood and he didn't look happy. I got him this big box and he likes it much better. All the cats like it. The little tray to catch the litter is pointless as they don't even step on it. You will need a litter mat. I find it much easier to clean than the plastic ones I have. My mom ended up ordering one because she has a big cat and he likes this box better too.
