It took several minutes to set the time, and change the Hr format. The alarm is a screeching sound, but there are alternative sounds to select from. The clock is small but the numbers are big and vibrant. It sits on a permanent base, so it does not wobble. There is a battery backup compartment that requires two AAA batteries. I placed it next to my living room TV, so I can also view the time from my dining area. There are multiple clock colors and digital colors to choose from, but I liked the green numbers. The price is reasonable. Review: Perfect - I needed a clock in my room so I wasn't checking my phone in the middle of the night or laying there awake wondering what time it was. I do get up very early. This clock is perfect for me. I like the display of the larger numbers because I can read the time without my glasses. I can adjust the brightness which is a good feature so it's not blinding to me. It has the battery backup in it, which is a plus. We lose electricity a lot due to weather so it's nice to know the alarm will still function and the time will be accurate. It sits nicely on my night stand, I don't worrying about it falling over if I bump into the night stand. The different volumes and alarms is also a good feature. ## Features - Compact Alarm Clock with Easy to See Big Numbers: Featuring 2 inches large bold numbers and a bright display makes it incredibly easy to read across the room, even without glasses - plus, it’s easy to set up, the features are easy to use and pretty self-explanatory, which is an ideal desk clock for kids, seniors, the elderly and adults. - 5-Level Adjustable Brightness Dimmer: During the day, the brightness can be set to the highest level, and at night it can be turned off or dimmed to the lowest setting. The time display can be switched between standard (12-hour) and military (24-hour) formats. - Extra Loud Alarm Clock with 5 Wake-Up Sounds: Featuring an alarm volume of up to 110dB, this clock is perfect for heavy sleepers and also accommodates light sleepers with an adjustable volume range from 30 to 110dB. Choose from 5 built-in wake-up sounds (Birds Chirping, Beep, Soft Music, Ode to Joy, Siren), which gradually increase in volume from gentle to your preferred level. Snooze allows extra 9 minutes of slumber. - Battery Backup Alarm for Power Outages: This bedroom alarm clock has a battery backup function that ensures the alarm will still go off during a power outage, so you never miss an important schedule. The display will not light up when running on battery power alone. Requires 2 AAA alkaline batteries (not included). - Plug-in Alarm Clock with USB Charging Port: This bedside clock operates on electricity and includes an AC adapter. It features a convenient USB charging port for easily charging your smartphones and other devices without needing to search for an adapter or additional outlet. - 8-Color Night Light with Sleek Modern Design: Select from eight vibrant colors and customize the brightness(can be turned off) to add a soothing ambiance to your room, making it easier to fall asleep. The sleek silver design fits perfectly with your bedroom decor, adding a modern touch. - Front-Button for Effortless Setup: All the setup buttons are conveniently located on the front of the clock, ensuring effortless operation without needing to fumble around.
